📖 Surah Al-Baqarah (Ayat 76-85): Munafiqat ka Anjam aur Allah se kiye gaye Wade | Arabic, Urdu & English Translation | Sirat-ul-Iman

Introduction

In ayaat mein Allah Pak munafiqeen ki un chalaakiyon ka zikr farma rahe hain jo wo imaan walon ke sath karte thay. Sath hi un logon ka bhi zikr hai jo Allah ki kitab mein apni taraf se radd-o-badal karte thay. In ayaat mein hamein un 8 bade wadon ka sabaq milta hai jo Allah ne Bani Israel se liye thay, jin mein Maa-Baap ke sath husn-e-suluk aur namaz-o-zakat ki pabandi shamil hai.

In these verses, Allah exposes the hypocrisy of those who tried to deceive the believers. It also highlights the grave sin of altering Allah’s words for worldly gain. Most importantly, these verses remind us of the 8 fundamental covenants Allah made with the Children of Israel—including kindness to parents and establishing prayer—which are still vital for us today.

Surah Baqarah ki ayat 76 ka Arabic rasm-ul-khat, munafiqat ka zikr.

Ayat 76

Aur jab wo imaan walon se milte hain to kehte hain ke hum imaan laye, aur jab wo aapas mein ek dusre se milte hain to kehte hain: kya tum unhein wo baatein batate ho jo Allah ne tum par kholi hain taake wo tumhare Rab ke paas tum par hujjat (daleel) layein? Kya tumhein aqal nahi?

And when they meet those who believe, they say, "We have believed"; but when they are alone with one another, they say, "Do you inform them of what Allah has revealed to you so they might argue with you about it before your Lord?" Do you not then understand?

Surah Al-Baqarah Ayat 77 se 83 tak, jis mein 8 wadon aur Zakat ka hukm diya gaya hai.

Ayat 77

Aur kya wo nahi jaante ke Allah wo sab jaanta hai jo wo chupate hain aur jo wo zahir karte hain?

Do they not know that Allah knows what they conceal and what they declare?

Ayat 78

Aur un mein kuch an-parh (unlettered) hain jo Kitab ka ilm nahi rakhte siwaye jhooti aarzoon ke, aur wo mahz weham-o-guman par chal rahe hain.

And among them are unlettered ones who do not know the Scripture except through hearsay, and they but assume.

Ayat 79

Pas halakat hai un logo ke liye jo apne hath se kitab likhte hain phir kehte hain ke ye Allah ki taraf se hai, taake us ke badle thori qeemat (dunyawi faida) le sakein. Pas halakat hai un ke liye us par jo un ke hathon ne likha aur tabahi hai un par us par jo wo kamate hain.

So woe to those who write the "scripture" with their own hands, then say, "This is from Allah," in order to exchange it for a small price. Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn.

Ayat 80

Aur wo kehte hain ke hamein dozakh ki aag hargiz nahi chuegi siwaye ginti ke chand dinon ke.

And they say, "Never will the Fire touch us, except for a few numbered days." Say, "Have you taken a covenant with Allah? For Allah will never break His covenant. Or do you say about Allah that which you do not know?"

Ayat 81

Haan! Jis ne burai kamayi aur us ki khataon (gunahon) ne usey gher liya, to wahi log aag wale hain, wo us mein hamesha rahenge.

Yes, whoever earns evil and his sin has encompassed him - those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.

Ayat 82

Aur jo log imaan laye aur unhon ne nek amal kiye, wahi log jannat wale hain, wo us mein hamesha rahenge.

But they who believe and do righteous deeds - those are the companions of Paradise; they will abide therein eternally.

Ayat 83

Aur yaad karo jab Hum ne Bani Israel se paka wada liya ke: Allah ke siwa kisi ki ibadat na karna, Maa-Baap ke sath husn-e-suluk karna, rishtedaroon, yateemoon aur miskeenoon se bhali koshish karna, logo se achi baat kehna, namaz qaim karna aur zakat dena. Phir tum mein se thore logo ke siwa sab phir gaye aur tum ho hi roo-gardani (mu morne) wale.

And [recall] when We took the covenant from the Children of Israel, [enjoining upon them], "Do not worship except Allah; and to parents do good and to relatives, orphans, and the needy. And speak to people good [words] and establish prayer and give zakah." Then you turned away, except a few of you, and you were refusing.

Surah Baqarah Ayat 84 aur 85 ka Quranic text, dunya ki ruswai aur akhirat ke azab ka zikr.

Ayat 84

Aur jab Hum ne tum se wada liya ke apno ka khoon na bahana aur ek dusre ko gharon se na nikalna, phir tum ne is ka iqrar kiya aur tum khud is par gawah ho.

And [recall] when We took your covenant, [saying], "Do not shed each other's blood or evict one another from your homes." Then you acknowledged this while you were witnessing.

 Ayat 85

Phir tum wahi ho ke apno ko qatal karte ho aur apne hi ek giroh ko un ke gharon se nikal dete ho, aur un ke khilaf gunaah aur ziyati ke sath madad karte ho. Aur agar wo tumhare paas qaidi ban kar aayein to tum un ka fidiya de kar unhein chura lete ho, halanke unhein (gharon se) nikalna hi tum par haraam tha. To kya tum Kitab ke ek hisse par imaan late ho aur dusre hisse ke sath kufr karte ho? Phir tum mein se jo aisa kare us ki saza is ke siwa kya hai ke dunya ki zindagi mein ruswai ho, aur qayamat ke din wo sakht tareen azab ki taraf phere jayenge, aur Allah tumhare ammal se ghafil nahi hai.

Surah Al-Baqarah (Ayat 76-85): Urdu Tafseer & Reflections

1. Munafiqat aur Dogla-pan (Ayat 76-77)

Bani Israel ke kuch log munafiqat karte thay. Musalmanon ke samne kehte "hum imaan laye," lekin jab apne logon mein tanhai mein milte to ek dusre ko tokte ke: "Musalmanon ko wo sachaiyan kyun batate ho jo hamari kitabon mein likhi hain? Wo inhi baaton ko hamare khilaf daleel bana kar pesh karenge." Meri Soch: Beshak Allah ne farmaya hai ke Dozakh ke sab se upar wale darjay mein Munafiq honge. Munafiq hone ka azab bohot bara hai. Aaj ke waqt mein bhi aise log hain jo Musalman ho kar Hindu mazhab ko follow karte hain, isay hi munafiqat kaha jata hai. Dekhein, ek dil mein bas ek hi cheez basai jati hai—aur jin dillon mein Allah bas jaye wahan koi aur nahi bas sakta.

2. Deen mein apni taraf se milawat (Ayat 78-79)

Kuch log an-parh thay jo sirf jhooti umeedon par zinda thay, lekin un ke ulema ka haal ye tha ke wo apne hathon se kuch likhte aur phir keh dete ke "Ye Allah ki taraf se hai" taake thora dunya-wi faida kama sakein.

Jis baat par doubt ho, usey bina tehqeeq aage nahi phelana chahiye.

Sabaq: Deen ke naam par apni taraf se baatein garhna sakht gunah aur tabahi ka rasta hai.

3. Jhooti Tasalli aur Ghalat-fehmi (Ayat 80-82)

Wo kehte thay ke "Hamein dozakh ki aag hargiz nahi chuyegi, sirf chand dinon ke liye." Allah ne farmaya ke ye tumhara apna guman hai.

4. Wo 8 Wade jo Bani Israel ne Tore (Ayat 83)

Allah ne unse 8 paki baaton ka paka wada liya tha:

Sirf Allah ki ibadat karna.

Maa-Baap ke sath husn-e-suluk (ihsan) karna.

Rishtedaron ka khayal rakhna.

Yateemon ki sarparasti karna.

Miskeenon ki madad karna.

Logon se achi aur naram baat kehna.

Namaz qaim karna aur Zakat dena.

Humein inhein pura karne ki koshish karni chahiye. Hum shayad itne nek nahi ke Allah ko razi kar sakein, magar koshish to kar sakte hain na? Kya pata ye koshish hi hamari bakhshish ka zariya ban jaye.

5. Deen ko apni marzi se chun-na (Ayat 84-85)

Unhon ne wada kiya tha ke wo apno ka khoon nahi bahayenge, magar wo apno ko qatal bhi karte aur gharon se nikalte bhi thay. Aur jab wahi log qaidi ban kar aate, to fidiya de kar churaty bhi thay aur kehte ke "Ye Allah ka hukum hai."

Sabaq: Allah ko wo deen pasand nahi jis mein hum apni marzi ka hissa chun lein aur mushkil hukm chor dein. Aisa karne walon ke liye dunya mein ruswai aur akhirat mein sakht azab hai.

Surah Al-Baqarah (Ayat 76-85): English Translation & Reflections

1. Hypocrisy and Dual Personality (Ayat 76-77)

The hypocrites among the Children of Israel would claim to believe in front of Muslims but secretly conspired to hide the truths of their scriptures.

Reflection: Allah declares that hypocrites will be in the severest part of Hell. Today, we see people claiming to be Muslims while following other religious practices; this is clear hypocrisy. A heart can only hold one true love—if Allah resides there, no one else can.

Lesson: Allah knows the secrets of the hearts. You can hide from people, but not from the Creator who is closer to you than your jugular vein.

2. Tampering with Divine Guidance (Ayat 78-79)

The unlettered followed false hopes, while their scholars wrote laws with their own hands and called them "Divine" for worldly gain.

Reflection: Religion cannot be increased or decreased. We must only spread what we know for certain. If there is a doubt, stay silent rather than spreading misinformation.

Lesson: Inventing things in the name of religion is a path to destruction.

3. False Security and Misconceptions (Ayat 80-82)

They believed the Fire would only touch them for a few days. Allah clarified that Paradise is for those with Faith and Good Deeds, not for a specific race.

Reflection: Judgment belongs to Allah alone. We should not label others as "dwellers of Hell." Sometimes a sinner has one sincere act that saves them, and sometimes a worshiper's pride ruins them. It is Allah's secret; do not judge.

4. The 8 Covenants (Ayat 83)

Allah took 8 solemn promises: Worship only Him, kindness to parents, helping relatives, orphans, and the needy, speaking kindly, and performing Prayer and Charity.

Reflection: These promises are for us too. We may not be perfect, but we must try our best. Perhaps our sincere effort is what Allah will accept for our salvation.

5. Selective Faith (Ayat 84-85)

They broke their promise not to kill or evict their own people, yet they would pay ransom to free captives, claiming it was a religious duty.

Lesson: Allah does not accept "Selective Religion" where you pick easy rules and ignore difficult ones. Such people face disgrace in this world and severe punishment in the Hereafter.

📌 Key Points & Special Message: Surah Al-Baqarah (Ayat 76-85)

Munafiqat ka Anjam:

Allah dilon ke bhed janta hai. Munafiqat ka rasta dozakh ki gehrai ki taraf jata hai.

Allah ki Qurbat:

Allah hamari shah-rag se bhi zyada qareeb hai, is liye humein har haal mein imandari ikhtiyar karni chahiye.

Deen mein Milawat:

Apni marzi se deen ke ahkaam badalna ya duniya-wi faide ke liye galat baat phailana sakht gunah hai.

Naram aur achi guftagu.
Namaz ki pabandi.
Zakat ki adayegi.

🌙 Ramadan aur Zakat: Ek Khas Appeal

Meri tamam dosto se darkhwast hai: Ramadan Mubarak bohot kareeb hai. Jaisa ke Rajab, Shaban aur Ramadan mein log Zakat nikaalte hain, aur Allah ne in ayaat mein bhi Zakat ka khaas zikr kiya hai.
Allah unhein iska ajar-e-azeem ata farmaye.
Ek Tanbeeh (Warning): Jo log Zakat wajib hone ke bawajood nahi dete, unke liye sakht azab hai aur ye bohot bara gunah hai.
Mere dosto! Is gunah se bachein, apne Allah ko razi karein aur apni duniya o akhirat dono sawarin. Agar meri koi baat buri lagi ho to maafi chahti hoon, maine sirf Allah ke farman ko aap tak pohanchaya hai. Shukriya!

Koshish hi Kamyabi hai:

Hum farishte nahi hain, magar humari musalsal koshish hi Allah ki rahmat aur bakhshish ka zariya ban sakti hai.

📌 English Version: Key Points & Special Appeal

Consequence of Hypocrisy:

Allah knows the secrets of the hearts. The path of hypocrisy leads to the lowest depths of Hell.

Closeness to Allah:

Allah is closer to us than our jugular vein; therefore, we must uphold honesty in all circumstances.

Tampering with Religion:

Changing divine laws for worldly gain or personal preference is a grave sin.

Responsibility of Knowledge:

Spread only what you know with certainty; avoid spreading doubts and assumptions.

Judgment belongs to Allah:

We have no right to label anyone as "Heavenly" or "Hellish." That authority belongs solely to Allah.

The 8 Covenants of Bani Israel:

1. Worship only Allah,
 2. Kindness to parents
 3. Caring for relatives,
4. Supporting orphans
 5. Helping the needy,
 6. Kind and gentle speech,
 7. Regularity in Prayer,
 8. Giving Zakat.

🌙 Special Message: Zakat and Ramadan

A heartfelt request to all my friends: Ramadan is approaching. Just as many give Zakat during Rajab, Shaban, and Ramadan—and as Allah has mentioned Zakat in these very verses—I urge you to take action.
Timing of Zakat: For those whom Zakat is obligatory, try to give it before Ramadan begins. This allows our less fortunate brothers and sisters to prepare for the holy month and experience the joy of Ramadan just as we do.
MashAllah: Those who have already paid their Zakat have performed a beautiful deed. May Allah grant them a great reward.
A Warning: Forholding Zakat despite it being obligatory is a major sin and leads to severe punishment.
My dear friends! Save yourselves from this sin, please Allah, and beautify both your worldly life and the hereafter. I apologize if my words caused any offense; my only intention was to share the command of Allah. Thank you!

❤️ Dil Ki Baat (A Heartfelt Reflection)

Urdu Version:

"Mere aziz dosto,

Aaj ye ayaat likhte hue mera dil ek ajeeb sukoon aur thori fikar mein bhi tha. Hum aksar dusron par ungli uthate hain, unhein bura kehte hain, lekin kabhi apne gireban mein nahi jhankte. Allah ne farmaya ke wo hamari shah-rag se bhi zyada qareeb hai—is ka matlab ye hai ke hamara har wo khayal jo abhi zubaan tak nahi aaya, wo bhi mera Rab janta hai. Hum aksar deen mein apni marzi chalate hain—jo asaan laga wo maan liya aur jo mushkil hua usey piche chor diya.

Hum bade dastar-khuwan sajane ki tayari karte hain, lekin hamare hi qareeb kuch log sehri aur iftari ke liye pareshan hote hain. Zakat sirf ek farz nahi, ye hamare maal ki pakizgi aur gareebon ki muskurahat hai. Koshish karein ke Ramadan se pehle hi apna hissa nikaal dein taake dusre bhi khushi se roza rakh sakein.
Aaj main aapko ek bohot bade masle ka hal batati hoon: Jaisa ke aap jante hain ke Ramadan mein Allah Shaitan ko qaid kar deta hai taake hum ibadat kar sakein.

Is Nafs ko qaid karne ka behtareen hal:

Din mein kisi bhi waqt 2 Rakat Nafil parhein is niyat se ke: "Ya Allah! Mujhe mere nafs ke shaitan se mehfooz farma." Jab aap ye rozana parhenge, to In Sha Allah apni zindagi mein tabdeeli mehsoos karenge. Ramadan kareeb hai, is liye ye amal abhi se shuru karein kyunke asar hone mein waqt lagta hai. Is tarah dono shaitan (bahar wala aur andar wala) qaid ho jayenge aur hum behtar tareeqe se Allah ko razi kar sakenge.
Main koi ustad ya alima nahi hoon, bas ek koshish kar rahi hoon ke jo sukoon mujhe Quran mein milta hai, wo aap tak pohanchaoon. Agar koi galti ho gayi ho to maafi chahti hoon. Mera maqsad sirf Allah ko razi karna hai.
Allah hum sab ki koshishon ko qubool farmaye. Ameen."

English Version:

"My dear friends,

While writing these verses, my heart felt a strange sense of peace mixed with a little concern. We often point fingers at others but forget to look within ourselves. Allah says He is closer to us than our jugular vein—meaning He knows every thought even before it reaches our lips. We often practice 'Selective Religion,' picking what is easy and leaving the rest. Remember, Allah loves complete submission to Islam.
Moreover, Ramadan is approaching. While we plan grand feasts, many around us worry about how they will manage Suhoor and Iftar. Zakat is not just an obligation; it is the purification of our wealth and the source of a poor person's smile. Try to give it before Ramadan so others can also fast with joy.
Today, I want to share a solution to a major problem: In Ramadan, Allah chains the Shaitan so we can worship freely. Ramadan is a gift, and we must cherish it. However, we often still commit sins. This happens because of the 'Shaitan of our Nafs' (inner self).

The best way to imprison this Nafs:

Perform 2 Rakat Nafil at any time of the day with the intention: "O Allah, protect me from the Shaitan of my inner self (Nafs)." If you do this daily, you will feel a shift in your life. Start this practice now before Ramadan, as change takes time. This way, both Shaitans will be imprisoned, and we can please Allah more effectively.
I am not a scholar; I am simply trying to convey the peace I find in the Quran. I apologize for any mistakes; my only goal is to please Allah.
May Allah accept our efforts. Ameen."

"Zindagi ka kya bharosa? Kab saans ruk jaye aur maut ka farishta aa jaye. 🤲 Abdul Habib Bhai ka ye dars humein hamari asal manzil yaad dilata hai. 📖✨"

English:

"Life is unpredictable—who knows when the final breath will be drawn? 🤲 This lecture by Abdul Habib Bhai reminds us of our true destination. Wake up from the sleep of heedlessness and start preparing for the Hereafter. 📖✨"

Closing Message

Jate jate bas itna kahungi ke Ramadan ki barkatein sametne ke liye apne dilon aur apne maalon ko saaf karlein. Zakat nikaalne mein der na karein, kya pata aapka ye ek qadam kisi zaroorat-mand ki puri Eid sanwar de. Agar post achi lagi ho to ise apne doston ke sath Share zaroor karein taake ye ilm ka silsila rukne na paye."

"Comments mein 'Ameen' zaroor likhein aur batayein ke aapko aaj ka sabaq kaisa laga?"

English:

"Before I go, I’ll just say: purify your hearts and wealth to welcome the blessings of Ramadan. Do not delay in giving Zakat; your one step might brighten someone's entire Eid. If you found this post helpful, please Share it with your friends so this chain of knowledge continues."
