Is post mein hum Surah Al-Baqarah ki Ayat 31 se 40 tak ka mutala karenge. In ayaat mein Allah Ta’ala ne Hazrat Adam (A.S) ki fazilat, unhein ilm sikhane, aur farishton ke sajde ka zikr farmaya hai. Is mein Kanzul Iman ka tarjuma bhi shamil hai, aur sath hi meri apni samajh ke mutabiq zaati nuqta-e-nazar (Personal Point of View) bhi pesh kiya gaya hai.
In this post, we will study Surah Al-Baqarah from Ayat 31 to 40. In these verses, Allah Almighty mentions the virtue of Hazrat Adam (A.S), teaching him knowledge, and the prostration of the angels. I have included the Kanzul Iman translation along with my personal understanding and point of view.
Farmaya, "Aye Adam! Inhein in chizon ke naam bata do." Jab unhon ne naam bata diye to Allah ne farmaya, "Kya Maine tumse nahi kaha tha ke Main asmanon aur zameen ki ghaib ki baatein jaanta hoon?"
He said, "O Adam, inform them of their names." And when he had informed them of their names, He said, "Did I not tell you that I know the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth?"
Aur jab Hum ne farishton se farmaya ke Adam ko sajda karo, to sab ne sajda kiya siwaye Iblees ke; us ne inkar kiya aur gharoor kiya aur wo kafiron mein se ho gaya.
And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate before Adam"; so they prostrated, except for Iblees. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers.
Aur Hum ne farmaya, "Aye Adam! Tum aur tumhari biwi jannat mein raho aur khoob khao jahan se chaho, magar is darakht ke paas na jana warna zalimon mein se ho jaoge."
And We said, "O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat therefrom in [ease and] abundance from wherever you will. But do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers."
Hum ne farmaya, "Neeche utro, tum ek doosre ke dushman ho aur zameen mein tumhara thikana ek muqarrar waqt tak hai."
But Satan caused them to slip out of it and removed them from that [condition] in which they had been. And We said, "Go down, [all of you], as enemies to one another, and you will have upon the earth a place of settlement and provision for a time."
Beshak wahi boht tauba qabool karne wala nihayat raham wala hai.
Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.
Hum ne farmaya, "Tum sab yahan se neeche utro, phir agar tumhare paas Meri taraf se koi hidayat aaye to jo Meri hidayat par chalenge unhein na koi darr hoga aur na wo gham karenge."
We said, "Go down from it, all of you. And when guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve."
Bani Israel! Mere wo ehsan yaad karo jo Maine tum par kiye aur Mera wada poora karo, Main tumhara wada poora karunga aur sirf Mujhi se daro.
O Children of Israel, remember My favor which I have bestowed upon you and fulfill My covenant [upon you] that I will fulfill your covenant [from Me], and be afraid of [only] Me.
Tafseer-e-Qur’an Surah Al-Baqarah (Ayat 31–40)
1. Ilm ki Fazeelat (Ayat 31–33)
In ayaat mein Allah Ta’ala ne Hazrat Adam (A.S) ko tamaam cheezon ke naam sikha kar unhein farishton par fazeelat ata farmai. Jab farishton se poocha gaya to unhon ne apni kam-ilmi ka iqraar kiya. Is se yeh baat wazeh hoti hai ke ilm hi woh wahid rasta hai jo insaan ko bulandi ata karta hai.
Tamam farishton ne hukum mana, magar Iblees ne takabbur kiya aur inkaar kar diya.
Mera Point of View
Yahan se humein yeh sabaq milta hai ke ilm ke sath aajzi (humility) bohat zaroori hai. Shaitan ke paas ilm aur ibadat dono thay, lekin sirf ghuroor ne use hamesha ke liye mardood kar diya. Hum apni namazon aur ibadat par ghuroor karte hain, jab ke Iblees sab se zyada ilm aur ibadat rakhta tha — lekin ghuroor ne use tabaah kar diya. Log paisay par ghuroor karte hain, jab ke paisa bhi Allah hi deta hai. Haqeeqat yeh hai ke insaan ke paas apna kuch bhi nahi. Sab kuch Allah Pak ke haath mein hai. Insaan itna bhi ba-ikhtiyar nahi ke paidaish ya wafat ke waqt khud ko saaf kar sake. Is liye hamesha aajiz raho, zameen se jurray raho, sab ko barabar samjho aur Allah Pak ka shukar ada karte raho.
3. Jannat mein Qayam aur Azmaish (Ayat 35–36)
Phir farmaya ke zameen par hidayat aayegi — jo is hidayat ki pairwi karega us ke liye na koi khauf hoga aur na gham. Riwayat hai ke Hazrat Adam (A.S) ne arsay tak maafi maangi. Phir unhein yaad aaya ke jannat ke darwazay par Allah ke naam ke sath Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ ka naam likha hua tha. Unhon ne Nabi Kareem ﷺ ka waseela diya, aur Allah Ta’ala ne unki dua qabool farma li. Is liye humein bhi dua ke waqt Allah ke Habib ﷺ ka waseela dena chahiye. Jab Muhammad ﷺ Allah ke mehboob hain to Allah un ke waseelay se maangi hui dua kaise rad kar sakta hai? Duniya mein bhi jab kisi se baat manwani hoti hai to us ke mehboob ka naam liya jata hai. Insani mohabbat mein milawat ho sakti hai, lekin Allah aur Muhammad ﷺ ki mohabbat bilkul paak aur buland tareen hai. SubhanAllah.
5. Bani Israel ko Nasihat (Ayat 40)
Allah Ta’ala ne Bani Israel ko apni nematein yaad dilai aur farmaya ke tum mera wada poora karo, main tumhara wada poora karunga.
Mera Point of View
Yeh ayat humein sikhati hai ke Allah ki nematon ka shukar ada karna aur us se kiye gaye wadon par qaim rehna hi kamyabi ki chaabi hai. Jo chahiye Allah se maango, aur jab mil jaye to shukar karo.
Ek Chhota Sa Amal (Personal Experience)
Har namaz ke baad (makrooh waqt ke ilawa), shukar ka sajda karen. Sajday mein ja kar 7 martaba Surah Al-Fatiha ki pehli ayat parhein: “Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘Aalameen.” Fajr mein taqreeban 20 minute baad aur Asr ke baad haath utha kar bhi parh sakte hain. Is amal ko apni zindagi ka hissa bana lein. Sirf 2 minute ka yeh amal, InshaAllah, aap ki zindagi mein positive tabdeeliyan la sakta hai — lekin sabr zaroori hai.
Tafseer of the Qur’an Surah Al-Baqarah (Ayat 31–40)English
1. The Virtue of Knowledge (Ayat 31–33)
In these verses, Allah Almighty taught Hazrat Adam (A.S) the names of all things and granted him superiority over the angels. When the angels were questioned, they admitted their limited knowledge. This clearly shows that knowledge is the true means through which humans attain honor and elevation.
2. Prostration to Adam and Satan’s Arrogance (Ayat 34)
Allah commanded the angels to prostrate before Hazrat Adam (A.S). All obeyed except Iblees, who became arrogant and refused.
My Point of View
This teaches us that knowledge must always be accompanied by humility. Satan had knowledge and worship, yet pride destroyed him forever. Allah does not like arrogance at all. Then who are we to feel proud? We become proud of beauty that will one day fade. We become proud of worship, forgetting that Iblees had more knowledge and worship — yet arrogance ruined him. Some feel proud of wealth, while even wealth comes only from Allah. In reality, humans possess nothing. Everything belongs to Allah. A person does not even have control at birth or death. Therefore, remain humble, stay grounded, treat everyone equally, and constantly thank Allah.
3. Life in Paradise and the Test (Ayat 35–36)
Hazrat Adam (A.S) and Bibi Hawwa (A.S) were allowed to live in Paradise and enjoy its blessings, but were forbidden from approaching a specific tree. Satan misled them, and they were sent down to the earth.
4. Acceptance of Repentance (Ayat 37–39)
Hazrat Adam (A.S) repented sincerely, and Allah taught him the words of repentance and accepted his forgiveness. Allah then promised guidance on earth — whoever follows it will have no fear and no grief. It is narrated that Hazrat Adam (A.S) later sought forgiveness through the intercession of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ after seeing his blessed name written alongside Allah’s. Allah accepted his supplication. Thus, we too should present the waseela of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in our prayers. Since he is Allah’s beloved, Allah does not reject a prayer made through him. Human love may be imperfect, but Allah’s love for Muhammad ﷺ is pure and supreme. SubhanAllah.
5. Advice to Bani Israel (Ayat 40)
Allah reminded Bani Israel of His favors and commanded them to fulfill their covenant, so that Allah would fulfill His promise.
My Point of View
This verse teaches us that gratitude and fulfilling commitments are keys to success. Allah dislikes betrayal of promises — whether with Him or with people. Be grateful for every blessing. Ask Allah for what you need, and when you receive it, thank Him.
A Small Practice (Personal Experience)
After every prayer (except disliked times), perform a prostration of gratitude and recite seven times: “Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ‘Aalameen.” Make this a part of your daily life. Even two minutes of sincere gratitude can bring positive changes, InshaAllah — with patience.
🌿 Key Points
Surah Al-Baqarah (Ayat 31–40)
🔹 Ilm ki Taqat (Power of Knowledge)
Kabhi kabhi choti si baat par amal — jaise paani baith kar peena — bhi hamari bakhshish ka zariya ban sakta hai. Allah amal ki quantity nahi, balkay quality aur niyyat dekhta hai. Allah hum sab ko ilm par amal karne ki taufeeq ata farmaye. Ameen Sum Ameen.
🔹 Takabbur ka Anjaam (The End of Arrogance)
Iblees ne sirf is liye inkaar kiya kyunke woh khud ko behtar samajhta tha. Kamyab sirf wahi hai jo taqwa ikhtiyar kare.
🔹 Insani Fitrat aur Ghalti (Human Nature and Mistakes)
Hazrat Adam (A.S) ka darakht ke qareeb jana humein sikhata hai ke insaan ghalti kar sakta hai — lekin Allah ko woh banda pasand hai jo ghalti ke baad us ki taraf rujoo kare. Allah Qur’an mein farmata hai ke use woh gunahgaar banda bhi pasand hai jo gunah ke baad tauba kare. Behtar yeh hai ke gunah kiya hi na jaye, lekin agar ho jaye to us par ruk jana asal gunah hai. Insaan ghalti ka putla hai — is liye bas maafi mangte raho. Allah gunahon ko bhi nekiyon mein badal deta hai. Yaqeen karein, kuch hi dinon mein meri yeh aadat khatam ho gayi — bina kisi pareshani ke. Jahan ghanton ki koshish kaam nahi karti, wahan Allah asaani ata kar deta hai. Allah farmata hai: banda meri taraf ek qadam badhata hai, main das qadam badhata hoon.
Personal Experience
🔹 Tauba ka Darwaza (The Door of Repentance)
Allah ne Hazrat Adam (A.S) ko khud tauba ke alfaaz sikhaye. Is se pata chalta hai ke Allah apne bandon ko maaf karne ke bahane dhoondta hai. Kabhi Allah mushkil deta hai, kabhi asaani — sirf is liye ke banda us ki taraf laut aaye. Aur woh banda bohat khush naseeb hota hai jo Allah ki taraf palat aata hai. Allah farmata hai: agar tum raaste se ek kaanta hata do, main itne se amal par bhi maaf kar sakta hoon. SubhanAllah.
🔹 Hidayat ki Shart (Condition of Guidance)
Allah ne farmaya ke zameen par hidayat aayegi (Qur’an, Ambiya, Sahaba aur Auliya ke zariye). Jo log is raaste par chalenge unhein na darr hoga aur na gham. Allah ki raah par chalne walon ke chehray hi roshan nahi hote — un ke dil bhi roshan hote hain. Is liye Qur’an, Rasool ﷺ, Sahaba aur Auliya ka daaman kabhi na chhoren. In ke waseelay se Allah se maangein — kyunke yeh Allah ke bohat qareeb hain aur Allah in ke waseelay se jaldi sunta hai.
🔹 Wada Poora Karna (Fulfilling Promises)
Ayat 40 mein Allah ne wazeh farmaya: Agar tum Allah se kiya hua wada (ibadat aur hidayat par chalna) poora karoge, to Allah bhi apna wada poora karega. Allah farmata hai: “Ai insaan, tu meri raza par raazi ho ja, main tujh se raazi ho jaunga aur tujhe bhi raazi kar dunga.” Azan mein pehle hota hai: Hayya ‘alas Salah — Allah ki taraf aa jao Phir hota hai: Hayya ‘alal Falah — kamyabi hasil kar lo Yani Allah pehle apni taraf bulata hai, phir kamyabi deta hai. Is liye meri dil se guzarish hai: chahe aap kitne hi gunahgaar ho ya mushkil mein ho — bas Allah ke aage jhukna shuru kar dein. Chhota hi sahi, amal shuru kar dein. Agar poori namaz nahi parh sakte to sirf farz se shuru karein. InshaAllah aap ki duniya bhi sanwar jayegi aur aakhirat bhi.

Key Points
Surah Al-Baqarah (Ayat 31–40)
🔹 Power of Knowledge
Allah taught Hazrat Adam (A.S) the names of all things, proving that knowledge can elevate humans even above angels. However, knowledge must be accompanied by action. On the Day of Judgment, Allah will ask how we acted upon what we learned. Allah values sincerity and quality of deeds more than quantity.
🔹 The End of Arrogance
Iblees refused out of pride. This teaches us that arrogance distances a person from Allah’s mercy. No one is superior by race or status — only taqwa matters, as stated by Prophet ﷺ in his farewell sermon.
🔹 Human Nature and Mistakes
Humans can make mistakes, but Allah loves those who repent. Allah can even transform sins into good deeds. When we take one step toward Allah, Allah takes many steps toward us.
🔹 The Door of Repentance
Allah Himself taught Adam (A.S) how to repent, showing that Allah seeks reasons to forgive His servants. Sometimes Allah gives hardship or ease so that we return to Him.
🔹 Condition of Guidance
Allah sent guidance through the Qur’an, Prophets, Companions, and Saints. Those who follow it will have no fear or grief. Their hearts and faces both shine with peace.
🔹 Fulfilling Promises
Allah promises success if we fulfill our covenant of worship and obedience. Begin even with small steps — pray even if imperfect. Allah will gradually guide you. InshaAllah, both your worldly life and Hereafter will improve.Agar chahen, next step mein main isay Canva carousel / poster slides / PDF notes style mein bhi bana doon 🌷
Is se pata chalta hai ke insan ka asal rutba us ki samajh aur ilm se hai. Sab se bada sabaq jo mujhe mila wo Shaitan aur Hazrat Adam (A.S) ka farq hai. Shaitan ne ghalti ki aur zidd par ad gaya, jabke Hazrat Adam (A.S) ne ghalti ki to Allah ke samne jhuk gaye aur tauba kar li. Hum insan hain aur hum se gunah ho jate hain, lekin asal kamyabi ye nahi ke hum kabhi ghalti na karein, balki asal kamyabi ye hai ke hum apni ghalti par qayam na rahein balki foran Allah se maafi mang lein. Allah Ta'ala kitna Kareem hai ke us ne hamein zameen par bhejne ke sath sath hidayat ka wada bhi kiya taake hum bhatak na jayein. Mera iman hai ke agar hum Allah se kiya hua wada poora karenge to wo hamari zindagi ki har mushkil asaan kar dega.
💓A Message from My Heart
"While writing and reflecting on these verses (31-40) of Surah Al-Baqarah, I felt a deep connection in my heart. I realized that Allah granted excellence to Prophet Adam (A.S) over the angels primarily because of 'Knowledge'. This shows that in the eyes of Allah, the true status of a human being is defined by their wisdom and understanding. The greatest lesson I learned is the difference between Satan and Prophet Adam (A.S). Satan committed a mistake and became stubborn, whereas Prophet Adam (A.S) made a mistake but humbled himself before Allah. Being human, we all commit sins, but true success lies in seeking forgiveness immediately after a mistake, rather than persisting in it. How Merciful is Allah that He did not just …
