Ayat 217

Tum se poochte hain mah-e-haram (hurmat wale mahine) mein larnay ka hukm. Tum farmao is mein larna bara gunah hai, aur Allah ki raah se rokna aur us par imaan na lana aur Masjid-e-Haram se rokna aur us ke basne walon ko nikal dena, Allah ke nazdeek ye gunah us se bhi bare hain aur in ka fasad qatal se sakht tar hai. Aur hamesha tum se larte rahenge yahan tak ke tumhein tumhare deen se pher dein agar ban pare, aur tum mein jo koi apne deen se phere phir kafir ho kar mare toh in logon ka kiya akarat gaya dunya mein aur akhirat mein aur wo dozakh wale hain unhein is mein hamesha rehna hai.

They ask you about the sacred month - about fighting therein. Say, "Fighting therein is a great sin, but averting people from the way of Allah and disbelief in Him and preventing access to al-Masjid al-Haram and the expulsion of its people therefrom are greater sins in the sight of Allah. And fitnah is greater than killing." And they will continue to fight you until they turn you back from your religion if they are able. And whoever among you reverts from his religion and dies while he is a disbeliever - for those, their deeds have become worthless in this world and the Hereafter, and those are the companions of the Fire, they will abide therein eternally.

Ayat 218

Wo jo imaan laye aur wo jinhone Allah ke liye apne ghar baar chhore aur Allah ki raah mein lade, wo rehmat-e-ilahi ke umeed war hain aur Allah bakhshne wala meherban hai.

Indeed, those who have believed and those who have emigrated and fought in the cause of Allah - those expect the mercy of Allah. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

Ayat 219

Tum se sharab aur juey ka hukm poochte hain, tum farma do ke in donon mein bara gunah hai aur logon ke kuch dunyawi nafa bhi, aur in ka gunah in ke nafa se bara hai. Aur tum se poochte hain kya kharch karein, tum farmao jo fazil bache (zaroorat se zyada ho). Isi tarah Allah tum se ayatein bayan farmata hai ke kahin tum ghaur-o-fayr karo.

They ask you about wine and gambling. Say, "In them is great sin and [yet, some] benefit for people. But their sin is greater than their benefit." And they ask you what they should spend. Say, "The excess [beyond needs]." Thus Allah makes clear to you the verses [of revelation] that you might give thought.

Arabic text of Surah Al-Baqarah Ayat 220, focusing on the guidance regarding the affairs of orphans and the wisdom of Allah.

Ayat 220

Dunya aur akhirat ke kaam soch kar karo aur tum se yateemon ka masla poochte hain tum farmao unka bhala karna behtar hai aur agar apna unka kharch milalo toh wo tumhare bhai hain aur khuda khoob jaanta hai bigarne wale ko sanwarne wale se, aur Allah chahta toh tumhein mushaqqat mein dalta, beshak Allah zabardast hikmat wala hai.

Surah Al-Baqarah Ayat 217-220: Mukammal Tafseer aur Tashreeh

Ayat 217: Hurmat wale Mahine aur Deen par Istiqamat

Chunanche aaj dunya mein yahi ho raha hai; kuffar ki hazaron tanzeemein muslim aur gair-muslim mamalik mein apna deen, apna culture, apni tehzeeb phelane mein mashghool hain. Jahan asal Islam se pher sakein wahan koshish karti hain, aur jahan ye na ho sakay wahan logon ko Quran ki man-mani taweelon aur hadeeson ke inkar mein laga deti hain ya naye fitno mein mubtala kar deti hain. Agar imaniyat par hamla na kar sakein to اخلاقیات (ethics) tabah karke iman kamzor karne mein lagi hui hain.

Irtidad (Deen se Phirna) ke Ahkaam:

Murtad hone se tamam amal baatil ho jate hain.
Murtad (مرتد) ka lafzi matlab hai "Palatne wala" ya "Phir jane wala."
Islamic istilah (terminology) mein Murtad us shakhs ko kehte hain jo pehle Musalman ho aur phir Islam chor kar kisi aur mazhab mein chala jaye ya deen ka inkar karke be-deen (atheist) ho jaye.
Dunya mein: Shariat-e-Hukumat-e-Islamia murtad ke qatal ka hukm deti hai. Mard murtad ho jaye to biwi nikah se nikal jati hai, aur wo rishtey daron ki wirasat ka mustahiq nahi rehta. Murtad ki tareef aur us se talluq rakhna jaiz nahi.

Aamaal ki Barbadi:

Agar koi Haji murtad ho jaye phir iman laye to wo dobara Haj kare kyunke pehla Haj khatam ho chuka. Zamana-e-irtidad mein jo nakiya ki thin wo qabool nahi.

Akhirat mein:

Jo halat-e-irtidad mein mar gaya wo hamesha hamesha jahannam mein rahega. Allah Ta'ala har musalman ko khatma bil-khair naseeb farmaye.

Lesson:

Fitna phelana qatal se bhi zyada sakht gunah hai. Yaad rakhein ke murtad hona bahut sakht jurm hai. Afsos ke aaj kal musalmano ki aksariyat deen ke bunyadi aqaid se la-ilm hai. Shadi-marg aur hansi mazak mein kufriya jumlo ki bharmar hai. Gane, filmein aur mazahiya dramay kufriyat ka bahut bada zariya hain, in cheezon se bachane wale uloom hasil karna farz hai.

Is ayat mein iman, hijrat aur jihad teen bade aamaal ka zikr hai. In teeno aamaal ko baja lane walon ke bare mein ek aur maqam par Allah Ta'ala irshad farmata hai:

"Wo jinhon ne iman qabool kiya aur hijrat ki aur apne malon aur janon ke sath Allah ki raah mein jihad kiya, Allah ke nazdeek unka bahut bada darja hai aur wahi log kamyab hone wale hain. Unka Rab unhein apni rehmat, khushnudi aur jannat ki basharat deta hai, un ke liye un baghon mein daimi nematein hain." (Surah Tauba: 20-22)

Nukta:

Is se maloom hua ke amal karne se Allah Ta'ala par azar dena wajib nahi ho jata balki thawab dena mahz Allah Ta'ala ka fazl hai.

Ayat 219: Sharab aur Juey (Gambling) ki Haqeeqat

Yaad rahe ke is ayat mein sharab ko haram nahi kiya gaya balki iski mazammat bayan ki gayi hai. Sharab ki hormat ki ayat baad mein Surah Maida mein nazil hui thin.

Sharab aur Juey ki Mazammat:

Is ayat mein bataya gaya ke juey aur sharab ka gunah is ke nafa se zyada hai. Juey baz aur satte baz ke naam se badnam hota hai aur kabhi apna sab kuch haar kar zindagi tabah kar leta hai.
Waqia Hazrat Jafar Tayyar R.A:
Unhon ne sharab haram hone se pehle bhi kabhi nahi pi thi kyunke wo jante thay ke is se aqal kam hoti hai aur wo aqal ko tez rakhna chahte thay. Hazrat Ali Karram Allah Wajhah ne farmaya ke agar sharab ka ek qatra kuen mein gir jaye aur wahan minara banaya jaye to main us par azan nahi kahunga.

Juey ke Mutalliq Ahkaam:

Jua khelna haram hai.

Jua har aisa khel hai jis mein apna mal chale jane ka andesha ho ya mazeed mil jane ki umeed ho.
Shatranj, tash, ludo, cricket ya kisi bhi match par lagai gayi baazi juey mein dakhil hai. Mobile company ko message karne par jo makhsoos raqam katti hai aur inam rakha jata hai, wo bhi juey mein dakhil hai.

Kharch (Al-Afw):

Sahaba ne poocha ke kitna mal kharch karein? Hukm hua: "Jitna tumhari hajat se zyada ho." Ibtidaye Islam mein hajat se zyada mal kharch karna farz tha, jo baad mein Zakat ke hukm se mansookh hua magar nafli tor par aaj bhi mustahab hai.

Ayat 220: Yateemon ke Huqooq aur Islah

Iska matlab ye hai ke jitna dunyawi zaroorat ke liye kafi ho wo le kar baqi akhirat ke nafa ke liye khairat kar do.

Yateemon ka Masla:

Jab yateemon ka mal zulm se khane par sakht waid ayi to logon ne dar ke mare yateemon ka khana peena alag kar diya. Is mein ye surat hui ke jo khana bachta wo kharab ho jata aur yateem ka nuksan hota.

Surah Al-Baqarah Verses 217-220: Comprehensive Explanation (Tafseer)

Verse 217: The Sacred Months and Steadfastness in Faith

In this verse, Allah Almighty states that fighting during the Sacred Months (Ashur-ul-Hurum) is a grave sin. However, preventing people from the path of Allah, practicing disbelief (Kufr), and driving people out of the Sacred Mosque (Masjid-al-Haram) are even greater sins in the sight of Allah.

The disbelievers will continuously strive to turn you away from your religion. This is exactly what we witness in the world today; thousands of organizations are active in both Muslim and non-Muslim countries, spreading their own ideologies and cultures. Where they cannot turn people away from the essence of Islam, they attempt to involve them in self-styled interpretations of the Quran, the denial of Hadith, or new mischiefs (fitna). If they cannot attack the core beliefs (Imaniyat), they focus on destroying ethics (Akhlaqiyat) to weaken the faith.

Rulings on Apostasy (Irtidad):

Apostasy means to turn away or recede from the faith.

Definition:

In Islamic terminology, a Murtad (Apostate) is a person who was a Muslim but then leaves Islam to join another religion or becomes an atheist.

In this World:

Under Islamic Sharia law, apostasy is a severe crime. If a man becomes an apostate, his marriage is nullified, and he loses the right to inherit from his relatives. It is not permissible to praise or maintain close ties with an apostate.

Wasted Deeds:

If a person who has performed Hajj becomes an apostate and later returns to Islam, they must perform Hajj again because the previous one is void. Good deeds performed during the period of apostasy are not accepted.

In the Hereafter:

One who dies in a state of apostasy will remain in Hell forever. May Allah grant every Muslim a blessed end (Khatma bil-Khair).

Lesson:

Spreading mischief (Fitna) is a more severe sin than slaughter. Today, many are unaware of the basic tenets of faith, and blasphemous remarks are often made during celebrations or jokes. Music, movies, and comedies are major sources of such content; obtaining knowledge to protect oneself from these is a religious obligation.

Verse 218: The Virtue of Migration (Hijrat) and Struggle (Jihad)

Those who believed, migrated for the sake of Allah, and struggled (Jihad) in His path are the ones who can hope for Allah’s mercy. Regarding such people, Allah says in another place:

"Those who have believed and emigrated and striven in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives have a greater degree in the sight of Allah. And it is those who are the attainers [of success]. Their Lord gives them good tidings of mercy from Him and approval and of gardens for them wherein is enduring pleasure." (Surah At-Tawbah: 20-22)

Key Point:

This shows that performing good deeds does not make a reward mandatory upon Allah; rather, granting a reward is purely out of Allah’s grace and favor.

Verse 219: The Reality of Alcohol and Gambling

It is important to note that alcohol was not declared prohibited (Haram) in this specific verse; the verses of prohibition were revealed later in Surah Al-Ma'idah.

Condemnation of Alcohol and Gambling:

This verse explains that the sin of gambling and alcohol is greater than their benefit. Alcohol destroys the intellect, wipes out a person's sense of honor/modesty, and removes the distinction between sacred relationships (mother, sister, daughter). Gambling creates enmity between people, makes a person humiliated in society, and leads to the destruction of life and wealth.

The Example of Hazrat Jafar Tayyar (R.A):

He never consumed alcohol even before it was prohibited because he knew it diminished the intellect. He never lied because he considered it a sign of meanness. Hazrat Ali (K.W) once remarked that if a drop of alcohol fell into a well and a minaret was built over it, he would not call the Adhan from that minaret out of hatred for the sin.

Rulings on Gambling:

Gambling is strictly prohibited (Haram).

Any game where there is a risk of losing one's wealth or the hope of gaining extra wealth (such as betting on sports like Cricket, Ludo, Card games, or Lotteries) falls under gambling. This also includes paid SMS contests where a specific amount is deducted for a chance to win prizes.

Spending (Al-Afw):

When the Companions asked what they should spend, the command was: "Whatever is beyond your needs." In the early days of Islam, spending everything beyond one's necessity was mandatory, which was later modified by the rulings of Zakat, though it remains highly recommended as voluntary charity.

Verse 220: The Rights and Welfare of Orphans

This verse guides us to spend on the Hereafter by giving in charity whatever is beyond our worldly requirements.

The Matter of Orphans:

When severe warnings were revealed regarding the wrongful consumption of an orphan's wealth, people began separating the food and drink of orphans out of fear. This resulted in food going to waste and causing a loss to the orphans. Hazrat Abdullah bin Rawaha (R.A) questioned this, and permission was granted that if the intention is protection and welfare, one may combine the orphan's food with their own.

Warning:

Allah states that He knows the difference between the one who intends reform (Islah) and the one who intends mischief (Fasad). One should not pretend to do good while secretly intending to usurp an orphan's wealth.

Rulings Regarding Orphans:

A guardian may mix the orphan's wealth with their own if it is for the orphan's benefit, but it must not be done with bad intentions.

Reform (Islah) is not just financial; it includes the moral, educational, and spiritual upbringing of the orphan. Orphans should be treated like the children of the entire Muslim community.

Surah Al-Baqarah Ayat 217-220:  Key Points

Ayat 217: Hurmat wale Mahine aur Deen par Istiqamat

Lekin jo kaffar jaan bhuj kar itne bare bare gunah kar rahe thay, us ka kya matlab? Apne gunah, apni galtiyan, burai nazar nahi aati lekin dusron ki aati hai! Ye tareeqa kafiro ka tha lekin badkismti sa aaj hamara bhi yahi haal hai.

Aaj ka time pa har insan dusre ki burai ma laga huwa hai, dusre pa baatein karne ma laga hai, chahe khud ma us sa zyada buraiyan hon. Lekin nahi, humein khud ko nahi dekhna, dusron pa dehan rakhna hai. Dekhein jab insan khud theek ho toh dusra bhi theek nazar aata hai. Wo kehte hain "Nazriya wesi dunya." Is liye dusron ma burai na nikalein. Dekhein koi insan perfect nahi hota, har insan ma kami hoti hai, lekin un kamion ko sudharne pa kaam karna chahiye na ke dusron pa baatein karein ya un ki kami ya burai dusron ko beyan karein.

Dekhein ye gunah hai, ek dusre ka parda rakhna chahiye. Ab agar dekha jaye toh Allah na hamara kitna parda rakha huwa hai. Humein maloom bhi hai aur kehte hain kisi ka raaz ya baat jab dil ma rahe toh ibadat hoti hai, toh dusro ki baato ko raaz rakhna seekhein. Aur kuch log toh aise bhi hain jo bina baat dusron pa ilzam lagate hain, yani dusre ma wo burai hai nahi lekin wo ilzam laga dete hain. Specially Girls, un ka character pa boht sawal uthte hain lekin aisa nahi... pehle ka log kehte thay beti sab ki sanji hoti hai. Toh dekhein bohtan lagana toh boht boht bada gunah hai.

Aur is pa ek aur Hadees-e-Mubaraka hai ke:

"Jo Allah aur Akhirat ka din pa iman rakhta ha toh usay chahiye ka jab baat kare achi baat kahe warna chup rahe." Toh is liye dusro pa fazool ma na bola karein aur dekhein aap ne kisi ma koi burai dekhi toh us ko uchalne ki bajaye us ki islah karein, us sa discuss karein, us ka parents sa discuss karein.

Toh agar aap kisi ki burai ko achai ma badalne ma madad karein toh kitna sawab mile ga aap khud sochein.

Irtidad (Apostasy) ka Khatra

Islam chorne se insan ke tamam pichle nek aamaal barbad ho jate hain. Jo kufr ki halat mein mara, uski dunya aur akhirat dono tabah hain.

Dekhein Islam ko chorne ma sirf insan ka hi nuqsan hai wo bhi boht boht boht zyada. Dekhein Islam ek muqammal, khubsurt aur asan deen hai. Jitni asani Islam ma hai kisi ma nahi hai. Jitna haqooq ek dusre sa mohabbat ka sabak Islam deta hai koi nahi deta. Pata nahi log aaj kin be-mazhabi cheezon ma phas ka Islam sa door ho rahe hain. Baaz logon na Islam ko badnam kiya huwa hai, wo cheezein batate hain jin ka door door tak talluq nahi hai Islam ma. Lekin aisa karne wala ye yaad rakhe is ko boht bara gunah hai.

Hadees-e-Mubaraka hai:

"Jis na hamare is Deen ma koi new baat nikali jo is ma nahi hai, wo hum ma sa nahi ha wo mardood ha." Ab dekhein log firqo ka name pa kaisi kaisi baatein karte hain, apne paas sa. Toh baraye meharbani aisi cheezon sa door rahein. Aur dekhein ma ye baat is liye nahi keh rahi hoon ke Islam boht asan aur mukammal deen hai ke kyunke ma Muslim hoon, nahi! Jis ko yakeen nahi aata wo khud Quran parhe, Hadees parh le us ko pata lag jaye ga waqai is jaisa deen koi nahi. Jis deen ma kisi ko ek glass pani pilane pa 2 nafil ka sawab hai bataye wo deen asan nahi hai? Aisa kaisa ho sakta hai!

Hadees-e-Mubaraka hai:

"Deen asan ha is ma sakhti paida na karo."

Asal Kamyabi

Allah ki rehmat ke asli haqdar wo hain jo apne iman par qayam rahein, Allah ke liye Hijrat karein aur Uske raste mein Jihad (koshish) karein.

Sharab aur Jua

Aur juwa toh waisa hi naslein barbad kar deta hai. Juwa ka faida ha kya? Aaj aap 1 lakh jeet gaye, kal 2 lakh haar gaye, toh ab uper ka ek lakh agar nahi hai toh ghar ka saman, koi jewelry, kuch sell kar de ga toh is sa family effect ho gayi. Toh aise paise ka kya faida? Aur dekhein jo barkat halal ma hai haram ma nahi hai. Dekh jab Allah na aisi cheezon sa mana farma diya ha toh ho jayein mana warna yakeen karein maine khud dekha ha ye apni society ma dunya aur akhirat boht buri barbad hoti hai.

Is nashe na toh sari hamari jawan nasal barbad kar di hai aur pata nahi aaj kal ki generation ko bhi kya huwa hai. Zindagi ma thora sa masla aaya, nasha shuru! Matlab Allah ko bhula baitha hai hum, kya us pa yakeen hi nahi hai? Bhai muskil aayi, jaye namaz bichayein, Allah sa dua karein, Allah hal kar de ga bas yakeen rakhne ki baat hai. Zara sa parents daat dein toh bacha nasha pa laga huwa, khas thur teenager. Khud ka khauf karein, aage puri life pari hai. Kuch toh neki karein bhai!

Kuch nekiyan hain hamare pass? Kya?

Kharch karne ka Miyaar (Al-Afw)

Quran humein sikhata hai ke apni zaroorat poori karne ke baad jo mal bach jaye, usay Allah ki raah mein kharch karein. Beshak Allah ki raah ma dene wala kabhi khali nahi hota. Kuch log sochte hain ye de diya toh future ka kya ho ga, aisa ho jaye ga waisa ho jaye ga. Bhai ye sirf shaitani waswasa hai, wo lambi zindagi ka khawab dikhata hai aur kuch nahi. Aur agar zindagi ho gi toh ab tak bhi Allah na diya hai aage bhi wo hi de ga, toh Allah ki raah ma dil khul ka dein wo Allah bhi waisa hi nawazata hai.

Yani ke aap khud dekhein log yateemo ka kitna maal kha jate hain. Dekhein waisa toh kisi ka maal nahi khana chahiye lekin yateemo ka toh bilkul nahi khana chahiye balka yateemo ka boht khayal rakhna chahiye. Allah na farmaya ka agar yateem ka sar pa sirf mohabbat ka hath bhi rakh do, yani us ko kuch nahi diya, us ki madad nahi ki sirf hath rakh diya, toh us hath ka neeche jitne baal ayenge utne gunah maaf hote hain.

Aur ek is hawala sa Hadees-e-Mubaraka hai ke Nabi Kareem ﷺ na farmaya:

"Main aur yateem ki kafalat karne wala Jannat ma aise sath honge jaisa hath ki 2 ungliyan sath hoti hain." Toh aap khud is ka ajar dekh lein ke agar khayal karein ga toh kya mile ga aur agar maal khayein ga toh kya mile ga.

Niyat ki Pakizagi

Allah dilon ke haal khoob janta hai. Wo janta hai ke kon bhalayi kar raha hai aur kis ki niyat mein fasad hai.

Surah Al-Baqarah Verses 217-220: Comprehensive Explanation & Key Points

Verse 217: The Sacred Months and Steadfastness in Faith

In this verse, Allah Almighty states that fighting during the Sacred Months (Ashur-ul-Hurum) is a grave sin. However, preventing people from the path of Allah, practicing disbelief (Kufr), and driving people out of the Sacred Mosque (Masjid-al-Haram) are even greater sins in the sight of Allah. The disbelievers will continuously strive to turn you away from your religion.

Allah has made this crystal clear in these verses. You see, while fighting in the Sacred Months is forbidden and the Muslims fought inadvertently (without realizing it), Allah clarified here that although they made a mistake, it was accidental. But what about the disbelievers who were intentionally committing such massive sins? They don't see their own faults or their own evils, but they are quick to point fingers at others! This was the way of the disbelievers, but unfortunately, this is our condition today as well.

In today's time, every person is busy finding faults in others and gossiping, even if they have more flaws within themselves. We ignore our own selves and focus entirely on others. When a person is upright themselves, the world appears upright to them. As the saying goes, "The world is as you perceive it." Therefore, do not seek out evils in others. No human is perfect; everyone has shortcomings. But we should work on improving those flaws rather than talking about others or exposing their weaknesses.

Exposing others is a sin; we should guard each other's secrets. Think about how much of our own faults Allah has kept hidden! It is said that when a secret remains in the heart, it is like an act of worship, so learn to keep the secrets of others. Some people even level false accusations against others—claiming there is evil in them when there is none. This is especially true for girls, whose characters are frequently questioned. But it shouldn't be this way; as people used to say, "The daughter of one is the daughter of the whole community."

To slander someone is an incredibly massive sin. Allah has stated that if someone slanders another, that slanderer will not die until they have fallen into that very same sin themselves. Now you can see how grave this is, yet in today's world, people just talk without thinking.

Hadees-e-Mubaraka:

"The best among the believers is the one from whose hand and tongue other Muslims are safe."

Another Hadees-e-Mubaraka states:

"Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should either speak what is good or remain silent."

So, do not speak uselessly about others. If you see an evil in someone, instead of publicizing it, try to reform them. Discuss it with them or their parents. Nabi Kareem ﷺ said:

"The one who guides others toward a good deed receives a reward equal to the one who performs it."

Imagine how much reward you will get if you help someone turn their bad habit into a good one!

The Danger of Apostasy (Irtidad)

Leaving Islam only results in a person's own loss—a loss that is immense. Islam is a complete, beautiful, and easy religion. The ease and the lessons of mutual love found in Islam are unparalleled. It is baffling how people today get trapped in irreligious things and drift away from Islam. Some people have even brought a bad name to Islam by preaching things that have absolutely nothing to do with the faith. Anyone who does this should remember that it is a major sin.

Hadees-e-Mubaraka:

"Whoever introduces something new into this religion of ours that is not part of it, he is not of us and is rejected."

Look at how people talk about different sects and invent their own things. Please stay away from such things. I am not saying Islam is an easy and complete religion just because I am a Muslim—no! Anyone who doubts this should read the Quran and Hadith themselves; they will realize that there is no religion like this. A religion where serving a glass of water earns the reward of two voluntary prayers (Nafil)—tell me, is that religion not easy? How can it be otherwise! Allah has kept great rewards in small acts of kindness. It is people who have damaged Islam by introducing their own rituals and unnecessary hardships.

Hadees-e-Mubaraka:

"Religion is easy; do not create hardship in it."

True Success

The true inheritors of Allah's mercy are those who remain steadfast in their faith, migrate for the sake of Allah, and perform Jihad (struggle) in His path.

Alcohol and Gambling

While these may appear to have some minor worldly benefits, their sin and damage (destruction of the mind and wealth) are far greater.

These two habits have ruined millions of lives. A person addicted to these is not only a sinner himself, but his entire family is severely affected. People lose their senses through the intoxication of alcohol and beat their wives; some even raise their hands against their mothers and sisters. Some fall into adultery or waste food because they are not in their right minds!

And gambling? It ruins generations. What is the benefit? Today you win 100,000, tomorrow you lose 200,000. If you don't have that extra money, you end up selling household items or jewelry, and the family is destroyed. The blessing (Barakah) that exists in Halal is never found in Haram.

I have seen this in my own society—how both this world and the Hereafter are ruined. This addiction has wasted our youth. The moment a small problem arises in life, they start using drugs. Have we forgotten Allah? Do we not have faith in Him? Brother/Sister, if a difficulty arises, spread the prayer mat, pray to Allah, and He will solve it. It's just a matter of having faith. Even if parents scold them slightly, teenagers often turn to drugs. Have some fear for yourselves; you have your whole life ahead of you. Your parents raised you with so much hard work; be the peace of their old age, not their pain.

One who is addicted to these two habits often becomes addicted to many other sins as well. A person who does not give peace to his parents, wife, or children is fulfilling neither the Rights of Allah (Haqooq-ul-Allah) nor the Rights of People (Haqooq-ul-Ibad). Do not ruin your world and Hereafter like this. Do some good!

As the poet Iqbal said:

"Perform some act of kindness, O human; it is a tradition that no one leaves His house empty-handed."

We have to stand before Allah one day; think with what face we will go. Do we have any good deeds with us?

The Standard of Spending (Al-Afw)

The Quran teaches us to spend whatever remains after fulfilling our basic needs in the path of Allah. Truly, the one who gives in the path of Allah is never left empty. Some people worry about the future—"What if I give this away?" This is merely the whispering of Satan (Shaitan); he shows you dreams of a long life and nothing more. If life continues, the same Allah who has provided until now will provide in the future. So, give with an open heart in the path of Allah, and He will bless you in return.

Caring for Orphans

Living with orphans and caring for them is not a favor to them; it is our responsibility. Their wealth can only be mixed with yours if the intention is for their own welfare (Islah).

Regarding those who consume the wealth of orphans, it is said that they are only filling their bellies with fire. You can see how much wealth people usurp from orphans. While one shouldn't take anyone's property wrongfully, it is especially forbidden for orphans. Instead, they should be cared for deeply. Allah has said that if you merely place a hand of love on an orphan's head—without even giving them anything—you will be forgiven for as many sins as there are hairs under your hand.

Nabi Kareem ﷺ said:

"The best house is the one in which an orphan is cared for."

Another Hadees-e-Mubaraka on this subject:

"I and the one who cares for an orphan will be in Paradise like this," and he ﷺ signaled with his two fingers held together.

Look at the reward if you care for them, and look at the consequence if you consume their wealth.

Purity of Intention

Allah knows the state of the hearts perfectly. He knows who is doing good and in whose intention there is mischief.

Aaj Ka Karwa Sach: Hum aur Hamara Muashra (Dill ki Baat)

Hum aksar Quran ki ayaat parhte hain, magar unhein apne gird-o-pawaish (society) par apply karna bhool jate hain. Surah Al-Baqarah ki in ayaat ke nishanaat aaj hamare darmiyan waziya hain:

1. Dusron ka "Postmortem" Karna:

Hamari sab se badi bimaari ye hai ke hum dusron ke gunahon ke "Judge" ban bethte hain aur apne gunahon ke "Vakeel". Allah ne un Musalmano ko maaf kar diya jinse anjane mein galti hui, magar hum aaj jaan-boojh kar logon ki izzat uchalte hain. Jab hum kisi par Bohtan lagate hain, khas tor par larkiyon ke character par, toh hum bhool jate hain ke ye qarz hai jo isi dunya mein ada karna parta hai. Kisi ka parda rakhna ibadat hai, magar hum ne isay entertainment bina liya hai.

2. Islam: Mohabbat ya Sakhti?

Islam toh wo deen hai jo raste se pathar hatane par bhi sawab deta hai. Magar hum ne isay itna mushkil aur firqo mein baant diya hai ke naye log door bhag rahe hain. Hum ne "apne pass se" rasmein aur sakhtiyan nikal kar deen ka huliya bigar diya hai. Agar Islam ko dekhna hai toh Quran aur Hadees se dekhein, logon ke rawaiyon se nahi.

3. Nashe ki Panah aur Juwa (Gambling):

Aaj ki jawan nasal thori si pareshani aane par Allah ke samne rone ki bajaye nashe mein hosh khona pasand karti hai. Ye nasha mardangi nahi, buzdili hai. Jo hath maa-baap ka sahara banne thay, wo nasha karne ke liye unhi par uthte hain. Yaad rakhein, nasha sirf hosh nahi chinta, balki maa-baap ki mehnat aur aapka mustaqbil bhi jala deta hai.

Isi tarah Juwa bhi sirf buzdil hi khelte hain, jin ko lagta hai ke wo khud kuch karne ke kabil nahi hain. Magar jo log Allah aur Uske Mehboob ﷺ par yakeen rakhte hain, wo mehnat kar ke kamate hain aur "Al-kasibu Habibullah" (Mehnat karne wala Allah ka dost hai). Zindagi boht khoobsurat hai, isay apni families ke liye mazeed haseen banayein.

4. Yateem ka Haq: Aag ya Jannat?

Yateem ke sath mil kar rehna un par ehsan nahi, hamari apni Jannat ka rasta hai. Magar dunya ke lalach mein log unka maal hadap kar jate hain. Wo ye nahi jante ke wo yateem ka maal nahi, balki jahannam ki aag apne pet mein bhar rahe hain.

Meri Ek Shaksi Kahani (Personal Story):

Yahan main aap logon ke sath apni ek story share karti hoon. Mere father ka Karachi mein Fruit ka business tha, Allah ne boht nawaza tha. Jab main 10-11 saal ki thi toh un ki death ho gayi. Mere Taya Abu ne wo business sambhala—ab Allah janta hai ke unhone jaan kar nuqsan kiya ya ho gaya—lekin jab tak unhone kaam sambhala, humein na achi income mili aur na sukoon.

Lekin aaj se koi 6 saal pehle, mere father ke ek Dost ne wo business sambhala. Yakeen karein unhone itne ache se sambhala ke jitni tareef karun kam hai. Wo mahine ke shuru mein hi ek achi amount bhej dete hain, business ka har nuqsan aur masla khud handle karte hain. Wo hamari khushiyon aur sukoon ka zariya bane hain. Allah aur Uske Mehboob ﷺ ke baad main unka boht shukriya ada karti hoon, ye unka hum par ehsan hai. Allah unhein behtareen jaza de aur Jannat mein Huzoor ﷺ ka sath naseeb kare.

Ab aap khud dekhein ke dunya mein dono tarah ke log hain: Ek wo jo yateemo ka maal khate hain, aur dusre wo jo yateemo ki kafalat kar ke duayein lete hain. Aap ko kaunsa banna hai?

Nateeja (Conclusion):

Allah ko hamari lambi lambi baatein nahi, balki Niyat ki pakizagi chahiye. Dunya fani hai, aaj hai kal nahi. Agli baar kisi ki burai karne ya kisi ka haq maarne se pehle sirf itna soch lein: "Kya mere paas itni nekiyan hain ke main Allah ke samne khara ho sakun?" Abhi waqt hai, islah karein. Dusron ko badalne se pehle khud ko badalna shuru karein.

Today’s Bitter Truth: Us and Our Society

We often read the verses of the Quran, but we forget to apply them to our surroundings and society. The signs mentioned in these verses of Surah Al-Baqarah are clearly visible among us today:

1. Performing a "Postmortem" on Others

Our greatest illness is that we become "Judges" for the sins of others and "Attorneys" for our own. Allah forgave those Muslims who made a mistake inadvertently, yet today, we intentionally humiliate people and drag their reputation through the mud. When we slander someone—especially when questioning the character of girls—we forget that this is a "debt" that must be repaid in this very world. Guarding someone's secrets is an act of worship, but we have turned it into a form of entertainment.

2. Islam: Love or Harshness?

Islam is a religion that promises a reward even for removing a stone from a path. However, we have divided it into so many sects and complicated it with such rigidity that new people are drifting away. By introducing personal rituals and unnecessary hardships, we have distorted the true face of religion. If you want to understand Islam, look at the Quran and the Hadith, not the behaviors of people.

3. The Refuge of Addiction and Gambling

Today’s younger generation, when faced with even a minor problem, prefers to lose consciousness through drugs rather than crying before Allah. This addiction is not a sign of "manliness"; it is cowardice. The hands that were supposed to support aging parents are instead raised against them for the sake of drugs. Remember, addiction doesn't just burn away your consciousness—it burns your parents' hard work and your own future.

Similarly, Gambling is only played by the cowardly—those who feel they are incapable of doing anything themselves and resort to such desperate ways of making money. But those who have faith in Allah and His Beloved ﷺ, who believe in their own abilities, and who realize that Allah did not create them without a purpose, do not engage in such acts. They earn through hard work, and "Al-kasibu Habibullah" (The one who earns through hard work is the friend of Allah). Think of how easily Allah’s friendship can be gained if we truly desire it!

I urge anyone caught in such an addiction to try and break free. Believe me, if Allah is with you, nothing in this world is impossible. Just make the intention to leave the wrong path, and Allah Himself will help you. Do not destroy your future generations; life is beautiful—try to make it even more beautiful for your families.

4. The Rights of Orphans: Fire or Paradise?

Living with and supporting orphans is not a favor to them; it is our own path to Paradise. Yet, out of worldly greed, people usurp their wealth. They do not realize that they are not consuming the orphan’s property, but rather filling their own bellies with the fire of Hell.

My Personal Story:

I want to share a story with you all. My father had a fruit business in Karachi, and Allah had blessed him immensely. I was only 10 or 11 years old when he passed away. My eldest uncle (Taya Abu) took over the business. Only Allah knows whether he caused losses intentionally or if they just happened, but as long as he managed the work, we received neither a proper income nor peace of mind.

However, about six years ago, a friend of my father took over the business. Believe me, he has managed it so well that no amount of praise is enough. At the very start of every month, he sends a substantial amount of money. He handles every loss and business problem himself without even telling us. He has become a source of peace and happiness for us. After Allah and His Beloved ﷺ, I am deeply grateful to him; this is his great kindness toward us. May Allah grant him the best reward and a place near the Prophet ﷺ in Paradise.

Now, you can see for yourself that there are two kinds of people in this world: those who consume the wealth of orphans, and those who earn prayers by supporting them. Which one do you want to be?

Conclusion:

Allah does not require long speeches from us; He desires the purity of intention. This world is temporary—it is here today and gone tomorrow. The next time you think of speaking ill of someone or usurping someone’s right, just think for a moment: "Do I have enough good deeds to stand with confidence before Allah?" There is still time; reform yourselves. Before trying to change others, start by changing yourself.

Apne Hathon Apni Halakat Na Karein! ⚠️

Surah Al-Baqarah ki Ayat 195 mein Allah Ta'ala farmata hai: 'Allah ki raah mein kharch karo aur apne hathon khud ko halakat mein na dalo.' Allah ki raah mein kharch na karna aur kanjoosi karna dunya aur akhirat dono mein tabahi ka sabab hai. Hum aksar dunya ke lalach mein wo maal rok lete hain jo asal mein Allah ki amanat hai. Yaad rakhein, khul kar dena hi wo rasta hai jo humein Allah ke qareeb karta hai kyunke Allah ihsan karne walon ko pasand farmata hai.

📌 Mazeed Maloomat:

Agar aap Allah ki raah mein maal kharch karne ke fazail ke bare mein mazeed gehrayi se parhna chahte hain, toh meri ye zaroor check karein. Us mein maine inhi mauzu (topic) par tafseeli baat ki hai.

Do Not Throw Yourselves into Destruction! ⚠️

In Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 195, Allah Almighty says: 'And spend in the way of Allah and do not throw [yourselves] with your [own] hands into destruction.' Failing to spend in the way of Allah and being miserly leads to ruin in both this world and the Hereafter. We often withhold wealth out of worldly greed, forgetting that it is actually a trust from Allah. Remember, giving generously is the path that brings us closer to Him, for Allah loves those who do good (Al-Muhsineen).

Closing Message & Dua

Umeed hai ke ye baatein hum sab ke liye hidayat aur dil ki tabdeeli ka zariya banengi. Hum aksar dunya ki bheer mein asal maqsad bhool jate hain, magar yaad rakhein ke hamara har ek amal hamari akhirat ki bunyad hai. Allah humein sirf parhne aur sunne wala nahi, balki un baaton par amal karne wala banaye.

Dua:

"Aye Allah! Hamare dilon ko apne deen par saabit-qadami naseeb farma. Humein dusron ka parda rakhne wala aur yateemon ka khair-khwah banaye. Hamari niyat ko pakiza kar aur hamari naslon ko nashe aur haram jaisi lanat se mehfooz rakh. Allah hamare walidain ka saya hamare saron par salamat rakhe aur jo is dunya se rukhsat ho chuke hain, unhein Jannat-ul-Firdous mein aala maqam ata farma. Hamare rizq mein barkat de aur humein hamesha halal par raazi rehne ki taufeeq ata farma."

Ameen Suma Ameen.

Ab is post ko end karte hain, naye post mein milenge

Closing Message & Supplication (Dua)

I hope these words become a source of guidance and a means for a change of heart for all of us. Often, in the rush of this world, we forget our true purpose; however, we must remember that every single action of ours is the foundation for our Hereafter. May Allah make us not just those who read and listen, but those who truly act upon these teachings.

Supplication (Dua):

"O Allah! Grant our hearts steadfastness upon Your religion. Make us those who guard the secrets/honor of others and well-wishers for orphans. Purify our intentions and protect our future generations from the curse of addiction and forbidden (Haram) things. O Allah, keep the shadow of our parents over our heads, and grant those who have departed from this world an exalted station in Jannat-ul-Firdous. Bless our sustenance and grant us the strength to always remain content with what is Halal."

Ameen Summa Ameen.

We end this post here; we shall meet again in a new post,

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Kya yateem ka maal apne maal ke sath milana gunah hai?

Jawab: Agar niyat yateem ki bhalayi aur uski parvarish ko asan banana ho, toh unka maal apne sath shamil kiya ja sakta hai. Quran ke mutabiq wo hamare deeni bhai hain aur unki islah (welfare) afzal hai.

2. Islam mein "Al-Afw" se kya murad hai?

Jawab: Al-Afw ka matlab hai "zaroorat se zyada maal". Islam humein sikhata hai ke apni aur apne ghar walon ki zaruriyat poori karne ke baad jo maal bach jaye, usay Allah ki raah mein kharch karna chahiye.

3. Why are Alcohol and Gambling discouraged in these verses?

Answer: The Quran states that although they may have minor worldly benefits, their sin and the harm they cause (social and spiritual) are far greater than their advantages.

4. What is the significance of the "Sacred Months"?

Answer: These are months in which fighting is prohibited to maintain peace. However, defending one's faith against persecution (Fitna) is allowed, as oppression is a greater evil than fighting.
